Dragon Arenas Made Permanent
Make Dragon Arenas permanently accessible.
Cap Winning Streak at 25.
Incremental Point System (like RA).
No tokens.
Dragon Arenas has an enormous fan base, and I personally know 10 or 12 people who would actually play if this was implemented.
Honestly, this is the most popular mini-game/festival game Arena Net has ever created.
Both PvP and PvE communities play DA as well, so there would never be a shortage of players.

I love Dragon Arenas a lot, but the idea of having it implented permanently doesn't seem too attractive to me.
I like how it's only once in a while so I can grind it day and night with a bunch of people.
If DA would be here permanently I doubt I'd be playing it as much / enjoying it as much.

I feel like you're overestimating the audience. That said, I know guilds full of people who would play DA all the time if it was always around.

You could prove this how?
Besides all of that, keeping DA around for longer periods of time has been suggested before in various ways (see these threads, among others), and also for other arenas such as Rollerbeetle Racing or Costume Brawl.
Festival arenas are for festivals. Don't expect to see DA until the Birthday Celebration.

Love the idea to work on Gamer title 24/7 and enjoy some "low-key" PvP. Yet.. it goes against the spirit of the Gamer Arenas. It can't be our birthday all the time.
/sign, but know it won't happen.

Festial games should be festival games, making them permanent would kill the whole thing - I'm sure they'd be completely extinct most of the time, no matter how fun the format is. (based on one of last year's events which went redux and Dragon Arena was nearly empty on the repeated event)
But ofcourse I think it SHOULD be open more times in a year, like at least 3 more gamer weekends per year would be enough.
And the rewards, they definately need updating. Increase Gamer points and tokens per win and add extra +1 gamer point per consecutive win, the Costume Brawl way.
And more - Dragon Arena desperately needs rewarding of individual player's skill - a good way would be to give additional +1 Gamer Point for every kill you made more than your deaths. So leechers, failcakes, wammotanks and rushers running to trade kill for kill wouldn't gain the extra points but skilled players able to kill without getting killed would have a couple extras.
Skillz title should promote skillful play.

It is popular, but part of the popularity is due to its rarity. If it was available all the time, people would not see a need to play as often, and many would become bored with it. The special feeling of playing DA would disappear within a month or 2. I could understand having it more often, but certainly not all the time. If it was available all the time they would probably need to also make changes to the Gamer title, though that is a different discussion.
More frequent, I'd sign for that within reason of the added amount.
All the time, /unsigned.

Both sides have good points.
How about a compromise? Make DA come around more often.

Hell no, DA would lose its novelty quick. The second time they ran wintersday the snowball arena was virtually deserted except for a bunch of bots and syncers. Not cool.

I would just like to point out to those who didnt know that there are non-profitable, scrimmage games mimicing Dragon Arenas. These can be played any time.
But sure, Everyday availability Dragon arenas would kill the novelty of the thing for more casual players eventually.

Dragon Arenas Weekend (Every Weekend)
Had a previous thread asking for permanent DA. However, the popularity of the Dragon Arenas can be easily attributed to its Rarity.
After consideration of this; for what reason could dragon arenas not be implemented on a regular basis?
I'm not going to give much hope for anything like this ever happening, but hey, I can dream can't I?
So:
Every weekend Dragon Arenas return to honor the devoted player base that has made Guild Wars and its successor, Guild Wars 2 possible.
(I still personally think the point system should be incremental and have a 25 win cap, but I wont push it)
Why Dragon Arenas?
Its the closest Guild Wars will ever get to a FPS and still retain originality(opinion)
It has no meta. (fact)
Guild Wars needs more 6v6!

not sure how many times you seen dragon arena open but its a bit of a pain - amount of ppl/bots that get in causes quite a bit of lag and at times theres enough lag without adding to it.
Also what happens when a weekend event is on - double faction etc are ppl going to visit the arena ?
Also theres enough bots appearing in pvp and not sure if it was guru but bots also made it into dragon arena so whats going to happen if you have 2 bots in your team.

Don’t make this a bot related tread… There are bots everywhere in guild wars. Guildwars is a dead game and I find dragon arena the only thing to be fun to play anymore.
I don’t really care how they do it, but adding more dragon arena to the game is a win / win in my book.

Because despite how many people would love to do d-Arena every week, it wouldn't maintain the Dragon part, thus losing the exclusivity from Cantha events.
Thus adding a clean version would then kill the point of having d-Arena exclusive every few months.
Explanation is explanation.

I don't feel that moving from "Dragon Arenas all the time" to "Dragon Arenas every weekend" is a novel enough idea that it needs two threads. Merged.
